Saugeen Conservation reduced Flood Warning for Pinkerton in the Municipality of Brockton with a Flood Watch, extends Water Safety Statement for the remaining Saugeen watershed.
Issued: Friday, March 20th, 2026
Valid until: Wednesday, March 25th, 2026
FLOOD WATCH – Municipality of Brockton
WATER SAFETY – Municipality of Arran-Elderslie, Municipality of Brockton, Township of Chatsworth, Municipality of Grey Highlands, Town of Hanover, Township of Howick, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, Municipality of South Bruce, Township of Huron-Kinloss, Municipality of Kincardine, Town of Minto, Township of Wellington-North, Town of Saugeen Shores, Township of Southgate, Municipality of West Grey.
Saugeen Conservation has reduced the Flood Warning specific to Pinkerton in the Municipality of Brockton with a Flood Watch. Intervention measures undertaken have been effective in reducing flows over Bruce Road 15 and around impacted residences.
However, the Teeswater River continues to flow through low-lying areas in Pinkerton and impacted residences remain at a heightened risk of flooding. Residents are advised to closely monitor conditions, use an abundance of caution. If you experience a flood emergency and are in danger, please call 911.
Flooding remains localized to Pinkerton and is not expected to impact nearby or downstream areas.
The Water Safety Statement previously issued for the remaining watershed has been extended. Water levels in local rivers and streams have continued to decline throughout the week but remain high. Periods of freezing rain today, March 20th, will create slippery, dangerous conditions around all watercourses. The public is encouraged to exercise extreme caution around local waterways.
Saugeen Conservation staff will be closely monitoring watershed conditions and will provide an update if conditions change. This message will remain in effect until Wednesday, March 25th at 4:30 pm, unless updated otherwise.
