March 16, 2025 - Watershed Conditions Statement and Flood Warning
Watershed Conditions Statement: Water Safety and Flood Warning
Flood Warning extended for the Municipality of Brockton due to ongoing flooding in Pinkerton. The Flood Watch for all other member municipalities has been replaced with a Water Safety Statement.
Issued: Monday, March 16th, 2026
Valid until: Friday, March 20th, 2026
FLOOD WARNING – Municipality of Brockton
WATER SAFETY – Municipality of Arran-Elderslie, Municipality of Brockton, Township of Chatsworth, Municipality of Grey Highlands, Town of Hanover, Township of Howick, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, Municipality of South Bruce, Township of Huron-Kinloss, Municipality of Kincardine, Town of Minto, Township of Wellington-North, Town of Saugeen Shores, Township of Southgate, Municipality of West Grey.
Saugeen Conservation has extended the Flood Warning specific to the Pinkerton area in the Municipality of Brockton. Saugeen Conservation continues to work with the Municipality of Brockton, County of Bruce and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to provide enhanced monitoring of the area. Flooding is localized to Pinkerton and not expected to impact nearby or downstream areas.
The Flood Watch issued for the Saugeen Watershed has been reduced to a Water Safety Statement. Water levels in local rivers and streams peaked late last week and have been steadily dropping since. Weather forecasts indicate that temperatures will stay mostly below freezing for the next several days. With little additional rain in the forecast, this will slow runoff and allow water levels to continue dropping for the next several days.
Hazardous conditions remain around all local watercourses and low-lying areas. The public is encouraged to exercise extreme caution around local waterways. As it is currently March break and children may be enjoying the outdoors, please consider addressing these concerns within your household.
Saugeen Conservation staff will be closely monitoring watershed conditions and will provide an update if conditions change. This message will remain in effect until Friday, March 20th at 12:00 pm, unless updated otherwise.
