Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority Celebrates 75 Years and Announces Explore Program Grand Prize Winner

SAUGEEN WATERSHED, ONTARIO (Bruce, Grey, Huron, Dufferin and Wellington Counties) –

As part of Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority’s (SVCA) 75th anniversary celebrations, SVCA is thrilled to announce the grand prize winner of its Explore Saugeen Conservation Program.

 Madeleine from Hanover has been selected as the grand prize winner after visiting multiple SVCA properties with her children. “The kids and I had so much fun exploring new conservation areas that we haven’t had a chance to visit before,” she shared.

Madeleine will receive a grand prize package that includes:

• A seven-night camping gift certificate
• A selection of camping goods
• A three-year SVCA membership pass

The Explore Program was launched in spring 2025 to encourage residents and visitors to connect with SVCA’s conservation areas and discover new natural spaces across the watershed.

To mark this milestone year, SVCA is also inviting the public to join staff, board members, and community partners in celebration of 75 years of conservation.

• 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Well wishes at 2:30 p.m.)

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with SVCA staff and stakeholders, share stories, and learn more about the legacy and future of watershed conservation in the region.
