Despite posted signs, people have been ignoring the trail closures for forest improvement harvesting at Allan Park.

Contractors will recommence work effective Thursday, July 18th, 2024. Please obey the posted signs to avoid life-threatening risks to both visitors and workers.

It is anticipated that trails will be reopened for the fall 2024 season, and we sure are looking forward to it.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your ongoing patience!

April 1st 2024 Legislative Changes

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority’s (SVCA) Environmental Planning and Regulations Department is responsible for reviewing new building and site alteration proposals in or around watercourses, wetlands, floodplains, and shorelines.  Since the 1970s, permits have been required from SVCA, associated with many versions of legislation, to protect people and property from natural hazards.  This process, while largely consistent through the years, has been updated from time to time.
