2026 SVCA Budget
THAT the apportionment amount of $2,829,657 for Category 1 operating expenses and capital costs be approved in accordance with Ontario Regulation 401/22, Section 27(4) of the Conservation Authorities Act;
THAT the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority adopt the 2026 Budget in the amount of $6,493,483 as approved in principle, November 20, 2025; and
FURTHER THAT the General Manager/Secretary-Treasurer is hereby authorized to notify the member municipalities of the cost apportioning amounts owing; and FURTHER THAT cost apportioning payments shall be due from member municipalities in two equal instalments on March 31 and June 30, 2026, and that late payments shall be subject to the Authority’s standard late payment charge of 1.50% per month thereafter.

Fees
SVCA will maintain its fee schedules and will notify the public of any proposed changes in a manner SVCA considers appropriate, as per the regulations.

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority Environmental Planning and Regulations Fees
The Conservation Authorities Act allows Conservation Authorities to set and charge fees for their programs and services. The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) is updating its Environmental Planning and Regulations fees in 2026 in accordance with the linked Fee Schedule. This will be the first change to the fee schedule since 2023, when fees were temporarily frozen by the Province. The 2026 fees will take effect on March 1, 2026, and will apply uniformly to all clients across the watershed.
