Watershed Report Cards

Watershed Report Cards

Every five years SVCA produces a Watershed Report Card, which is a summary on the state of our surface water and groundwater resources.

All conservation authorities across Ontario develop the report cards to ensure consistent reporting across the province and to provide watershed residents with information on how to protect, enhance, and improve the precious resources that surround us.

This is an excellent tool for both conservation authorities and watershed residents as they present vast amounts of research and technical data into an easy-to-read format which allows everyone to view the same snapshot of local environmental health!

Monitoring helps us to:

  • Identify current issues and possibly future ones.
  • Focus management or stewardship programs.
  • Track progress over time.
