SVCA Launches Explore Program

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority Launches 75th Anniversary Explore Program

SAUGEEN WATERSHED, ONTARIO (Bruce, Grey, Huron, Dufferin and Wellington Counties) –

In celebration of its 75th anniversary on March 16th, 2025, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) is excited to announce the launch of the Explore Saugeen Conservation Program. This initiative encourages the public to visit SVCA’s scenic conservation areas for a chance to win great prizes while discovering the beauty of the region’s natural landscapes.

To participate in the Explore SVCA Program, participants can visit any seven of the following SVCA properties:

  • Administration office in Formosa
  • Allan Park
  • Brucedale
  • Denny’s Dam
  • Durham
  • Mildmay/Carrick
  • New conservation area at Glenelg
  • Hardwood Hill
  • Kinghurst
  • McGowan Falls
  • Saugeen Bluffs
  • Schmidt Lake
  • Stoney Island
  • Sulphur Spring

To enter, participants simply need to take a photo with signage or an identifiable feature at each location and upload their photos through the new Explore Program webpage at: www.saugeenconservation.ca/2025Explore

The Explore Program gives everyone a fun opportunity to connect with nature, learn about the conservation efforts that sustain these beautiful spaces, and be a part of this significant milestone for Saugeen Conservation.”

Prizes include membership passes (each valid for three years), a gift certificate for seven nights of camping, a framed print of a conservation area, a gift basket of outdoor adventure materials and a grand prize package with camping goods, a seven-night camping gift certificate, and a three-year membership pass.

Participants can upload their photos directly on the webpage, mail printed copies to SVCA's administration office or drop them off in person. The contest closes on July 1st, 2025, and only selected winners will be contacted.
