Administration Office in Formosa Remains Closed

November 21, 2024 Update: Administration Office Reopening Expected in Early 2025

Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) has announced that its Administration Office in Formosa remains closed due to electrical damage sustained from a lightning strike on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Fortunately, the building was vacant at the time of the strike, and no injuries occurred. While there was no fire, the lightning caused significant electrical damage, which is still being assessed. Reopening is now anticipated in early 2025 as repairs and evaluations continue. In the meantime, SVCA staff continue to work remotely to ensure uninterrupted service.
